Dr. Linda Bienemann

Linda Bienemann is a lawyer at our law firm. During her law studies at the University of Cologne, she specialised in media and press law, freedom of speech, copyright as well as IT law. She received her PhD in the area of the right to one's own image, the General Data Protection Regulation and copyright law with her doctoral thesis “Reformbedarf des Kunsturhebergesetzes im digitalen Zeitalter” at the University of Passau.
From April 2017 to September 2019, she worked as a research assistant at the Chair of European and International Information and Data Law with Prof. Dr Louisa Specht-Riemenschneider at the University of Passau and followed her to the University of Bonn on 1 April 2018. Her main area of practice was data and data protection law, copyright and artistic copyright law, as well as internet and media law. In addition, she published a wide range of academic papers during her time at the chair and continues to write commentaries on data protection law.
